Johnny the K was a great!  The children sang along and enjoyed his special hats.  Johnny the K 's message is to treat everyone with kindness and respect.

It was Will's turn for his Birthday share.  Will hand wrote his three clues himself!  Will's special item was Squishy Sand and no one guessed.  As you can see we were all excited to feel Squishy Sand.

My former student Jill DePiero was our Mystery Reader today.  She read  Me and My Dragon to the class.  She should be proud of her amazing reading skills.  What a great role model for the children, thanks Jill!

 Balancing and weighing
Thanks Mrs. Werner for playing subtraction ZAP IT with the kids.  The children are really gaining a solid foundation in addition and subtraction.

Mrs. Kupferschmid making potato latkies with the kids.
Miss Kupferschmid will be graduating with her teaching degree this spring.  The children loved having her join us for centers today.

 Thumbs up on the latkies.

Sounding out words with magic "e".  The children did a great job finding their word partners before the music stopped.  We read and tapped out words with the magic "e" and without.  Monday we are playing Red Light Green Light with blends.  Who says school can't be fun?  Have a great weekend.

Thank you for playing Mrs. Kupferschmid.

I am so amazed by the problem solving in Room 15!    Please watch the video.

Problem:  Frog and Toad want to plant a garden.  They have 5 tomato plants, 6 pepper plants, 7 onion plants and 6 corn plants.  There is only room for 6 plants in each row.  How many rows will Frog and Toad need in the garden?

One group sharing their answer. Sorry I can't share them all, but you won't believe it!

It is December and we are building to 100 with tens and ones, writing numbers to 100 and adding on in addition.  Stay tuned for some impressive work from Room 15 Writer's Club.
