I am amazed by how much the kids have learned this year.  

Memorial has a published author in the building!  Kathleen Flaherty came in to read her book An Octopus Named Mom.  We just published our own stories so the timing could not have been better.   Mrs. Flaherty shared how long it took her to publish her book and how many times she had to make changes.  Mrs. Flaherty had a great message for blossoming writers AND a beautiful book.  Thank you Mrs. Flaherty!

The red balloon was water fun.  Perfect day for a water relay race.
